Missing child alert issued for 3-week-old from Gainesville

A statewide missing child alert has been issued for a 3-week-old boy from the Gainesville area.

FDLE issued the alert Tuesday for Jayce Jenkins. The baby has blonde hair and blue eyes, and was last seen on Southwest 13th Street in Gainesville on Sunday.

Authorities believe Jayce could be with 37-year-old Alison Jenkins.

Alison Jenkins is 5'3" with brown hair and blue eyes.

The baby was in the custody of the Department of Children and Families because Jenkins was in a drug treatment program, but she took off from the program with the baby.
