Father faces DUI manslaughter charge in Lakeland crash that killed 5-year-old girl

Tests determined that Kody Wills' blood-alcohol level was three times the legal limit after the Nov. 7 crash, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said.

Kody Wills, 30, also faces felony charges of DUI causing serious bodily injury and two counts of negligent child abuse for the Nov. 7 crash on the east side of Lake Parker, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office reported. Wills’ daughter, JoLynn, died in the single-car wreck, and his 3-year-old son, Walker, suffered burns before being rescued by a bystander.
