For Alba Montoya and her three teenage children life took a sharp turn when her husband of 21 years, Juan Guillermo Montoya, went missing from his workplace on Jan. 21.

On the morning of Jan. 21, Montoya drove to Ten Cent, a clothing warehouse he owns at 3301 NW 71st St., in Miami.
He parked his white Nissan Frontier, walked behind the building and asked his partner to open the business because he had to go run errands.
On the short way back to his vehicle, he disappeared without a trace, leaving his wallet, lunch and other belongings in the car. From that moment on, his Nokia cellphone was unreachable.
''No one saw him, or heard anything,'' she said. ``His partner thought it was odd that his truck was still outside, but he said he thought I had picked him up.''
Described by police as a healthy 48-year-old man, Montoya was last seen wearing a multicolor striped shirt, a red long-sleeved undershirt and brown pants.
