This is a strange one that doesn't sound like will have a good ending MOO. I hope the son has a change of heart and tells exactly what happened to Dad, and where he is.
"An 18-year-old involved in a multicounty chase is believed to have killed his father before opening fire on deputies and crashing into a Mount Dora synagogue.
On Tuesday afternoon, the sheriff said the teenage son and his dad were heard arguing on the phone before a shot went off and the line went dead.
The suspect was identified as 18-year-old Jonny Santiago. Deputies said he was spotted in three different counties before running from law enforcement before he ended up in a shootout with officers in Lake County.
The investigation began in Deltona Sunday night at a home at East Lehigh Drive and Normandy Boulevard.
Deputies said around 5 p.m. Monday, the suspect was spotted in Mount Dora and chased before he drove a Ford F-150 truck into a synagogue while firing at law enforcement.
Santiago was shot seven times in that shootout. Sheriff Mike Chitwood said Santiago is not saying anything to them about what happened or where his father might be.
Deputies said the teen’s father, Juan Santiago, flew down from New York to the family’s Deltona home Sunday night because the family was concerned about the son acting strange, running from police and crashing a car."

"The Volusia County Sheriff's Office has released more information about the circumstances that led to a pursuit and an 18-year-old suspect being shot by deputies on Monday.
The investigation began Sunday night after the suspect got into a fight with his dad at their Deltona home.
A woman reportedly called Central Florida authorities to say she was on the phone with her husband and their 18-year-old son, Johnny Santiago, when she heard arguing and a loud noise.
The call disconnected, and she never heard from her husband again.
Deputies responded to the home where Johnny Santiago and his father 52-year-old Juan Santiago lived, and they found no one home and no vehicles in the driveway.
Sheriff Mike Chitwood said deputies found evidence at the Deltona home, including shell casings and blood. Investigators said they found a bloody shirt at the Deltona home and weapons in the F150 after it crashed in Mt. Dora. Chitwood believes the suspect dumped the body nearby.
Chitwood said the family is from New York but has a second home on East Lehigh Drive in Deltona where the son had been staying. Officials said he had been acting out recently, allegedly crashing one of the family cars last week on I-4."
