SOUTHWEST FLORIDA - A Lee County father of two is still missing two weeks after his family said he left for a doctor's appointment in Fort Myers on September 13th.
66-year-old Kevin Close called his family from his home in the Palms of Monterrey in Fort Myers and told them his appointment was four miles away. Forty minutes later, he called them from Naples saying he was lost. His family helped guide him over the phone back to I-75 North, but Close became lost again and after he passed his exit at Daniels Parkway. That was the last time his family heard from him.
His daughter, Alexis Close, said the Lee County Sheriff's Office pinged his cell phone off of Tuckers Grade in Charlotte County, but since then, his phone's been off.
His daughter said there's no trace of a credit card, his car or his cell phone.
