I wonder if the aunt and uncle who are the safe haven are maternal or paternal? Clearly the older brother fled to them, and I suspect was told to keep his mouth shut or his siblings would be killed IMHO.

interesting question. i would guess they are related through the mom based on how the aunt spoke. if you reread what she said it is only against the dad.

The child's aunt said the father insisted she wear oversized clothing ... The woman also alleged that he denied the children medical care... The aunt said she and her husband thought the father was controlling...

she also uses statement that place no blame like "the children have scars". not 1 statement that says mom was responsible for the suffering of the children can be attributed to the aunt that i could find.

then again she may be one of those people that dont feel mom has a duty to protect the children especially if dad is abusive to her as well.

Good for these girls....gives me great hope that they can recover from this more than most. I am praying for them.

This is why sexual predators should be executed and this is why the executions should be televised. Show America what happens when you abuse a child mentally, physically, or sexually. Send the message...we will get you, and we will make you pay, dearly.
