"On December 28th, 1978 18 year old Margerit Lynn Baron, known to her friends and family as “Lynn”, was reported missing by her employer. She worked at Vito Scargetti’s Restaurant at 509 Duval Street in Key West. According to witnesses, a co-worker and friend named “Darlene” was the last one to see her when she dropped her off at home at 1 a.m. after a shift at work. At the time of her disappearance, she was reportedly living on Big Coppitt Key, on 4th Street. When she disappeared, she left all of her belongings at her residence. Her body – skeletal remains – was found March 4th, 1979 in a wooded area on Sugarloaf Key, just off of Loop Road. She was identified by dental records. The cause of her death remains unknown. Lynn was 5’5” tall, weighed 118 pounds, had brown hair and brown eyes and usually wore glasses. She came to Key West from New Jersey with a friend named “Susan” in November of 1978. Detective Gene Favors and Detective Sgt. Charles Majors Jr. were originally assigned to investigate. At the time of her death, there was a strong suspect in the case who refused to take a polygraph test during the course of the investigation. Detectives did not have enough evidence at that time to make an arrest. Detective Dan Mehler, who has been assigned to investigate now, says what he really needs is for witnesses to come forward who may have information about Lynn, and about who she was hanging around with at the time she disappeared..."

I don't know where the newspaper clippings came from but I cannot find them online. Maybe someone with a subscription can find and post them. There is so little out there for her case which is sad.
