Meredith Rose Walker, a 23-year-old female, was last seen alive in Orlando, Florida, on May 30, 2025. She was observed near the intersection of Robinson Avenue and Mills Avenue, close to Lake Eola Park, walking towards I-4. Meredith had just been released from an Orlando jail, and family members believe she may have been headed north to be with family after the recent death of a loved one. She may have intended to hitchhike due to lack of transportation. Her remains were later found in Emporia, Virginia, in early June of 2025.

Richmond FBI offers $20k reward for information on Florida woman’s death - WWBT
Meredith had just been released from an Orlando jail. The FBI says family members believe she may have been headed north to be with family after the recent death of a loved one and she may have intended to hitchhike.
On June 7 at 1:45 p.m. officers responded to a report about the remains at the intersection of Commonwealth Boulevard and Market Drive in Emporia.
They later identified those remains as Walker’s on June 12.
Walker had the following tattoos: the word "Love" on her right wrist, a butterfly on her chest, and a lotus flower on her right thigh.
Investigators are highlighting the entire travel corridor from Orlando up I-4 and north along I-95 into Virginia. They are urging anyone who may have seen Walker along that route or who has information about her movements after May 30 to come forward.
