My best PM would be James Robinson, missing from Miami since October 5, 2003. Several witnesses reported seeing him being beaten by a group of men before being thrown into the trunk of a silver 2-door Pontiac. The UID's NamUs profile doesn't specify where in the car he was found. Age is only two years out of range, race matches, height matches, timing seems reasonable, he went missing from the same city, and the circumstances are consistent.

Damian Dill went missing 2 weeks prior to the body being found. Age, race, height (within 2 inches), and circumstances (says he may have gone to Florida for work) all line up. However, I'm not sure if 2 weeks would be enough for the body to completely skeletonize in a submerged vehicle.

Charles Walden, his friend Robert, and their rental vehicle went missing from Gainesville 3 months before the body was found. Age is within a year, race matches, and height is within 3 inches. But if it's him, where is Robert?

I wonder if that date found was later than 2005?

So I guess he was identified?

No exclusions listed on NamUs as of May 2019. Let's sum up our potential matches so far:
  • James D. Robinson - NamUs MP22282
  • Damian Dill - NamUs MP4767
  • Charles Walden - NamUs MP25622
Damian Dill was taller than the UID and was quite skinny. The UID was wearing a XXL size jacket from Old Navy. Assuming it was his, I would expect him to be very heavy, especially since he was only about 5'10" and his height alone probably wouldn't necessitate the XXL size.

Charles Walden had a companion (unaccounted for) and was last seen about 350 miles from where this UID was located. I'm not saying it's a rule-out, but not as strong a possibility as James Robinson.

Going back to the jacket size for a moment, Old Navy's size chart for men's outerwear currently notes that the XXL would be expected to fit a man with an 18-18.5" neck and a chest measurement of 52-54". Assuming this jacket actually belonged to the UID and fit him, that probably put the UID over 200 lbs.

James Robinson seems like the best match so far for height, weight, age, and location.

The remains were skeletonized so I'm thinking this person had been there for a while, so I searched for people missing between 1/1/1995 and 12/31/2005 (in case the date of last contact was entered incorrectly and hoping the error wasn't significant). I came up with 13 search results (none of the MP's mentioned above), but none of them stood out to me as possible matches.
