How were they able to get a possible name and exact age from him?
I would imagine he lived in that house so his name would be attached in some way. They probably havent been able to make a positive identification yet. They may not have any identifiers on file yet. I would be quite surprised if this wasn't Leonard.

I would think he is Leonard since there’s no mention of anyone else living here like a roommate.

I wonder why they would put him in NamUs? There are neighbors around, seems like it would be simple to ID him.

He wouldnt be facially recognizable. They found him in decomposition. It's not unusual for these types of cases to end up in NamUs.

There are other ways to easily identify a decomposed body without putting them into NamUs.

Remember that NAMUS also operates claimus, and there is significant overlap between the two. My guess is that this is more of a claimus case, but without a known relative to test the remains against, he is technically unidentified.

I ran across this post looking for something else. I knew this person and his wife, I spent time on that 5 acre property when I was younger, many many years ago. We drifted out of contact and I was a shocked to see his name and address. I don't know if there is any information I could give to corroborate his identity other than he had brown eyes, black hair and he was about my height which is 5ft 2/12 inches. He had a CDL license. And the address is right. His wife Nancy passed away in Nov 2020, don't know from what but it was during the Covid stuff. He and his wife had a traveling Petting Zoo many years ago, they travelled and set up the petting zoos in different places, but mostly Malls.

Thanks for the info. Interesting to note this, hopefully someone can claim his remains
