Tallahassee Police Department is releasing more information about the murder of a Tallahassee taxi driver and former FAMU football player. According to an affadavit, an autopsy shows the victim was shot twice at close range and died from those gunshot wounds. ......
Police say 29-year-old O'Bryan Brandy, the victim, was working as a driver for Yellow Cab Taxi when he was shot as the result of an armed robbery......
Police traced the number of the last dispatch that Brandy was assigned to, confirming it with the taxi company's caller ID.
Police say the number was then traced back to a residence on Laura Lee Avenue, a truck was in that area that matched the description of witnesses at the murder scene.
According to the affadavit, a search warrant was obtained for the residence. The four suspects, Derrick Butler, Nelson Alexander, Davin Bowers, and Deondre Handsford, were all present at the residence and were taken into custody.....
Officer Susan Newhouse with TPD says the four people were arrested Saturday evening after a day long investigation that began at 1015 Idlewild Drive.

Three of the men arrested in his murder named Deondre Handsford as the triggerman, though police cannot yet confirm that.
- Officers found a 9mm Ruger believed to be the murder weapon buried in the backyard of the Laura Lee home where the men were arrested. They also found clothes burning in the backyard. ........
Brandy is survived by his wife and three kids. His funeral will be Saturday in Columbus Mississippi. ......
It's all a terrible shock to Brandy's former classmates and teammates at FAMU. .......On the field, teammates describe Brandy as a hard worker with NFL potential. Off it, he was known for his good heart and helping hand.

The crime was solved quickly by TPD (great job!) but I just felt this good man's loss of life needed some recognition...
