JACKSONVILLE, Fla — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for a 3-year-old boy and a 55-year-old man after they disappeared in Jacksonville Friday morning.

JSO says police were called about the two at a home in the area of New Berlin Road and Starratt Road.

The mother of the child told police she last saw them both around 11:30 a.m. Friday. She said the man, Dale Sturdivant, told her he was taking the boy, Oliver Winkler, to the Oceanway Community Park and then coming back home.

Sturdivant and Winkler are known to each other, police say, and are just in need of safety verification.

The two were last seen in a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder with the Florida tag HDUZ76.
