Orange County mental health counselor, 44, killed in stabbing by former client, deputies say

The Brief​

    • A Licensed Mental Health Counselor was stabbed and killed by her former client, Orange County deputies responded.
    • Rebecca White, 44, died from her injuries on Jan. 19.
    • The suspect, a former client of White's – deputies said – was found dead on Tuesday morning.

Who is the suspect?​

Investigators identified Michael Smith, 39, as the man who attacked White and her client.
