People in Gilchrist Co. are searching for answers after human remains were found Saturday.

According to the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Deputies, they got a call saying there were remains found on a piece of property in the north-east part of the county.

The property has a High Springs address, but is not in the city of High Springs.

Investigators with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and other agencies are still working to identify the person who’s body was found, as well as the cause of death.

Update: Human remains found in Gilchrist County identified

"The human remains found in Gilchrist County has been identified.

According to the sheriff’s office, they have identified the body as Jessica Bradshaw from Starke, Fla. Investigators are still working on a cause of death for the 37-year-old."

Deputies have identified the human remains found in Gilchrist County as those of 37-year-old Jessica Bradshaw of Starke.

Has anyone been able to find a press release or announcement for when she was first reported missing? I cannot find anything. She has a son and had family she seemed relatively close with; because of this, I find it difficult to believe that no one would have noticed and then swiftly reported her disappearance to local authorities. The Bradford County SO's website seemed highly uninformative on this matter, as well.
