Police investigating the disappearance of an accountant found an unidentified body buried in the man's backyard.

Richard Shoemaker, 60, of Fort Lauderdale, was reported missing Friday by his family, who last heard from him Sept. 6, police said.

Detectives discovered the body of a white male in the backyard of Shoemaker's house Sunday afternoon.

A suspect in the murder of a Fort Lauderdale accountant is in custody in Ohio.

U.S. Marshals arrested 29-year-old Matthew Hicks in Akron, Ohio, who had lived with the murder victim, 60-year-old Richard Shoemaker.
