This person, I hate to say "lady" probably thought she would be on TV and get to stay in the Ritz and appear on LarryKing,CBS , Nancy Grace, but wait Nancy Grace, would have had her in tears..
I would like to see ol Nancy get a chance at Casey, I think she could tick Casey off so bad that she would start spouting something to get Nancy to back off.!!
Did Ga and Ca appear on NancyG? I missed it if they did.

i wonder if Det. Ponce is the same one that is on the tv show, The First 48, love that show!

Wow, she's an even worse liar than Casey! Although I do feel for this woman and can cut her some slack due to the extreme grief of losing her child. At least she isn't a murderer.

It's probably a good bet she never had a misscarriage either. sigh.

I wondered about the so called father's forced reaction when I saw them being interviewed on TV. They are both garbage.

I saw the full video clip of the "father"...not the snippet that has been on the web. The clip I saw today he was nearly in convulsions crying. The media cut that out and presented the clips of him which came across as "fake". The one I saw...this guy was truly no doubt duped!

Good grief. If I were going to make-up a description of a missing child, it certainly wouldn't be "one foot tall, mohawk, one tooth, and an anchor tattoo"!! (Sounds like Popeye's love child.) Even dumber than KC. :bang:

But seriously, I hope she gets psychological help. It is frightening to think of her ever having a child.

The only upside to this is that there is no baby that has actually been put in harm's way, is missing, etc.

For THAT, I am thankful.

I hope they make her pay for the officers time, though.

Good grief.

I'm pretty sure that girl probably doesn't even have money to pay for all the expenses incurred in looking for a child that did not exist. She needs to pay time in jail with full psychiatric therapy and not released until she is cleared psychologically.

According to the above, she was planning to stall her ex-boyfriend with the missing child case until she could adopt a boy to pass off as her son. I think adoption is wonderful, but I doubt any agency would place an infant with a woman whose own child had been kidnapped recently. I'm not saying someone whose child has been gone a considerable length of time couldn't be considered as a prospective adoptive parent, but when she's preoccupied with finding her first son she's not going to have the time needed for an adopted baby.

Also in the article, she sent text messages to herself from another phone and pretended to be the nanny, and she bought baby clothes. I still say if police had checked her home, they probably wouldn't have found much evidence that a child had ever lived there. I'd be looking for not only baby clothes, but some signs those clothes had been worn, such as milk stains. Also, you'd expect to find a baby tub, baby wash, toys everywhere, some kind of documentation that he saw a pediatrician regularly, maybe even a high chair and baby food in the pantry if he was around the age to start solid foods.

I guess it's not certain whether she actually had a miscarriage, but she must have told her ex-boyfriend she was pregnant before she moved away. The article says he'd been told she had given birth to a healthy son. Unless she saw an OB-GYN before she miscarried and he confirmed she was pregnant, there's probably no way to even tell if she had been pregnant.

What the...? Another woman falsely reported a kidnapping for a child who didn't exist! Like McCormic, she had been in contact with an ex and had convinced him he would be meeting his child for the first time.

She told LE that a 5-year-old boy found with her was her adopted son but couldn't prove the adoption had been made. I'll follow this.

wonder who the 5 year old is? wonder how long she has had the five year old with her? hopefully her family/friends will be able to provide a timeline for when this 5 year old came into her life.

i wonder if there are any missing boys that fit his age?

The Dreamin' Demon blog had an article about her:

http://www.dreamindemon.com/2009/02/18/deborah-holste-lives-in-a-fantasy-world/

and link to her MySpace:

As the DD comments point out, the timestamp on the newborn pics of "Joyce Jaunita" is 1-6-09 and unless it was set wrong, the age doesn't match up. In February she claimed her daughter "Jacqueline" was five months old.

The first baby photo is evidently of a little boy, judging by the blue jammies and the two blue blankets. I ran his photo and the "newborn girl with arms up" photo through TinEye but couldn't find any results so it's hard to tell who she stole them from. They may not be posted anywhere online and she might have attended a friend's birth in January or Photoshopped the dates on older photos she had.

On her MySpace she gives her five-year-old son's name as Chris. Even if he does turn out to be her son by birth or legal adoption, did she not think a five-year-old would have quickly piped up to say that he didn't have a sister?! My 5yo has no sense of secrecy and I can't imagine a child that young keeping quiet.

This is really crazy! The pictures look like more than 1 child.

What I don't understand is, if she changed the timestamps on the photos, what made her choose those dates and times??

Within a span of 1 hour and 4 minutes, the baby changed clothes 4 times and also had a bath.
