According to a Bring our Missing Home, Inc. flyr, 35-year-old Robert T. McLaughlin went missing Sept. 25 after last being seen at about 10 p.m. at his apartment.
McLaughlin is a rap artist also known as Royal Francis or Rob Francis.

The flyer states McLaughlin didn't take any personal belongings or his car with him, and he has no wallet or ID.

McLaughlin has since not contacted family and friends. His mother told Action News Jax she knew something was wrong when her son didn't show up for a car appointment.

The Jacksonville man is described as 5 foot 10 inches and weighing 210 pounds. He has tattoos on both his forearms and a metal rod in his left arm. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and black shorts.

...“I was trying to get ahold of him. I couldn’t, so I tried to get ahold of some of his friends to see if they had heard from him. They said they would check to see if they could get ahold of him," Brantley said. "The Tuesday after that, they asked me if I had heard from him, because they were still not able to get ahold of him.”

Brantley said police searched his home, and the only items missing were his apartment key and phone.

...The mother also said her son has a show coming up in Savannah. She said he would never miss it and she hopes she can still see him perform.

...Brantley said her fear is that someone took him against his will. But for now, she's praying he'll be back home soon.

...Police are still investigating, and they haven’t’ ruled anything out. Although his friends told police he had signs of depression, they don’t believe he has had suicidal thoughts.

Details of Disappearance
McLaughlin was last seen at his Jacksonville, Florida residence at 10:00 p.m. on September 24, 2017. He has never been heard from again. He left his car, wallet, identification, and all other belongings behind; the only items that disappeared with him were his phone and the key to his apartment. It's uncharacteristic of him to leave without warning.

At the time of his disappearance, McLaughlin worked as a rap artist. He had an upcoming show booked in Georgia for shortly after his disappearance, something he wouldn't have wanted to miss. His mother stated he was in a car accident in 2014 and suffered a traumatic brain injury, but made a full recovery; the only lasting effect of the accident was that he couldn't remember a six-week period when it happened.

The circumstances of McLaughlin's disappearance are unclear. His case remains unsolved.

Eight years is long enough for his mother, Angela McLaughlin, to demand answers, whatever they may be.

“They’re going to have to give me something definite like finding bones or his remains. I need something definite like that to feel closure,” said Angela.

Robert McLaughlin was 35 years old and last seen on September 25, 2017, at 10 PM at his apartment at The Place at Capper Landing near College Park.

His mother said a neighbor saw him get into a car that night.

“He said it was a black charger car that came up. He argued with them on the steps before they told him to get into the car. He left with them and went to a corner store.”

She adds the camera footage at the corner store showed Robert then getting into a truck.
