A judge ordered the Sheriff’s Office to show him the files, but Trentalange said they are not following the order.
“The sheriff’s office has just been obstructionist in every way possible,” he said. “They don’t want to produce these records, and a little thing like a court order hasn’t seemed to change their minds.”

He said the files are being kept in boxes at the sheriff’s office, and he’s not being allowed to see them.
“We asked for a tangible item,” Trentalange said. “We asked for the shovel that was depicted in photographs, and their response was, oh, that’s not a document.”

Trentalange said he intends to go back to court to force the sheriff’s office to comply with the order.
