Three years after a homeless man found skeletal remains in the woods next to The St. Augustine Record building on State Road 312, a DNA match has identified the body, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.

The dead man is 34-year-old Matthew Christopher Wood, according to officials.

He had brown hair, blue eyes, and was 5 feet 9 inches tall. Originally a Georgia resident, Wood was homeless in 2008.
