FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a man who has not been seen since last week.

Officials said Suren Seetal, a 36-year-old airplane jet mechanic, has been missing since Thursday.

He was last seen at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport around 6 p.m.

The Fort Lauderdale Police Endangered Persons Unit is actively investigating his disappearance.

Seetal owns a 2001 Silver Honda Accord sedan with the license plate EHNA41.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the Fort Lauderdale Police.

I'm curious as to whether the noted vehicle is also missing. It says he was last seen at the airport, so did he leave in that vehicle or is it still in the employee parking area?
His brother has some additional info on FB. You can find his comments of interest with an easy search using the Suren's name.

I'm curious about the car too. There has been a ton of rain and flooding in Ft Lauderdale recently. Not just last week either but weeks ago. He could have gotten into a flooded area and not realized the danger he was in.
From where he worked to where he lived (which you can find in the Florida resident's directory) was fairly densely populated and not that far of a distance. The worst of the rain was after he went missing, before that, there was some localized street flooding all over but nothing that would have carried off a car to where it would not be seen when the water subsided. His brother gave his plans for his drive home on FB. But if he decided to drive somewhere else as well that evening, flooding could be of concern.

Dept of Justice update. Nothing much new, just detailed info on the names of those arrested and information as to where his body was found. Hoping for justice for this talented young man. My condolences to his family. Three South Florida Residents Indicted for Kidnapping and Murder
OMG. What could possibly be the motive? Such a huge loss of a talented intelligent man. Blessings to his family!

....a federal grand jury in the Southern District of Florida charged Avin Seetaram, a/k/a “Smalls,” 24, Somjeet Christopher Singh, a/k/a “Lil Chris,” 29, and Gavin Hunter, 18, all of Broward County, with murder for hire conspiracy, murder for hire, kidnapping conspiracy, kidnapping, and obstruction of justice, for their involvement in a violent kidnapping and murder of Miami-Dade resident Suren Seetal.

After leaving work, Seetal’s telephone was in the vicinity of Dr. HVAC, Singh’s air conditioning business, before going off network shortly thereafter. Seetal’s body was recovered at Big Cypress Reservation on November 21, 2023.

No amount of money warrants murder.

According to the indictment obtained by Law&Crime, the defendants lured Suren Seetal a location in Margate and murdered him to “extinguish a monetary debt” of $10,000 Seetaram owed to the victim, paid Hunter half of that for the killing, and then concealed Seetal’s body by “seizing, confining, inveigling, decoying, kidnapping, abducting, [and] carrying it away.”

What evil idiots. The guy had $5000, half of the money he owed Suren, but instead of just paying his debt down and trying to figure out the rest, he pays that money for a hit. I’m glad a lot of evil people are also stupid people. How utterly tragic and senseless. MOO

A federal grand jury in the Southern District of Florida charged Broward County residents Somjeet Christopher “Lil Chris” Singh, 29, Avin “Smalls” Seetaram, 24, and Gavin Hunter, 18, with murder for hire conspiracy, murder for hire, kidnapping conspiracy, kidnapping and obstruction of justice.

Singh allegedly owed the Seetal approximately $315,000, and Seetal's girlfriend told authorities he'd been trying to collect his debts.

The affidavit alleges that Seetal knew Singh and Seetaram from working together in the fireworks business. The suspects had been communicating with each other up until Seetal's cell phone’s signal was cut on Nov. 2.

Suren Seetal's cell phone was allegedly traced near Dr. HVAC, Singh’s air conditioning company. The device went off network a short time later.

The following morning an unmarked black tow truck driven by an employee of Singh's cousin removed Seetal's vehicle from the vicinity of Dr. HVAC. The tow truck was tracked by SunPass, a toll system in Florida.

The same day that Seetal's vehicle was towed, Home Depot security footage allegedly picked up Seetaram and Singh purchasing a 96-gallon yard waste cart.

Seetaram's cell phone pinged traveling in the direction of where the victim’s body was discovered. Hunter is believed to be the suspect who fatally shot Seetal.

I was trying to get access to court records on Broward County online records and via the PACER system but no luck. You have to sign up for access and pay fees. Maybe someone else has access already.

Seetaram’s arraignment hearing is scheduled for December 28. Hunter’s arraignment hearing is scheduled for January 2, 2024. Singh’s arraignment hearing is scheduled for January 3, 2024. If convicted of the charges contained in the federal indictment, Seetaram, Singh, and Hunter each face a mandatory sentence of life in prison or the death penalty.
