The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
Victoria Elizabeth Bowers left her home on foot on May, 30 1973 in Deltona, Florida. Victoria has a glass left eye.
I am wondering if this UID was every compared to Victoria The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
Victoria has no exclusions listed on her NamUs profile. We also don't know if they have DNA in NamUs for Victoria.
Victoria went missing May 30, 1973 - UID found August 22, 1973
Victoria was 17 when she went missing - UID is believed to be between 13-18
Both listed as having brown hair
Height is within range.
I also did a search - Deltona FL is only about 26 minutes away from where the UID was found in Altamonte Springs, Florida
I would have think this would have been compared - but I have seen stranger things happen.
I submitted the possible match of Victoria possibly being North Palm Beach Jane Doe who was found in 1974 The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
I received an email back from the Volusia Sheriff's Dept (who is handling Victoria's case)
Thank you for the idea regarding the unidentified found down in Palm Beach. I will reach out to the appropriate people to make sure we get her compared to Victoria. If anything comes of it I will let you know.
Thanks again for being interested in helping out.
Here is a side by side of the two.

That’s great that he responded timely. I think the key here is going to be her glass eye. That’s so rare that any UID with that feature would be identified quickly. At least that would be my assumption. The Volusia Sheriff's Dept emailed me back yesterday to let me know that Victoria has been ruled out as being Palm Beach Jane Doe.
I also asked the detective if he knows anything else about her disappearance and he said:
There are no details other than leaving home suddenly one day and never being seen since.

3 Unidentified Person Exclusions@Caring1 Hey could you post the current list of NamUs exclusions for Victoria Elizabeth Bowers? I would greatly appreciate it.
You know what? you might be right. When I compare the missing photo of V.E.Bowers to the photo you mentioned its very similar. The eyebrows are the same, the dimples are the same. Just wished the young lady in the photo you mentioned would have smiled with teeth showing.I have always thought that one of Alcala's pictures was of a girl with a "strange left eye", someone thinks Victoria to be similar?
I am referring to the 15th girl, with only the left eye visible in the picture.![]()
