Breaking news 2hrs ago EST. Jessica Aber found dead her home in Alexandria, Virginia this morning, Saturday March 22nd, 2025. Cause of death unknown & under investigation.
She was young and presumably healthy, so her death seems suspect to me. Although she resigned two months ago at the start of the new administration, I'm curious to know if this has something to do with one of her old cases, or maybe she knew some compromising information on someone powerful. I'd be curious to see if she was scheduled to testify about anything or anyone in the near future. Then again, if this were foul play, odds are it was a current or former boyfriend. Just a thought..Does anyone know anything about her personal life?

I forgot to add that the news report stated that the APD (Alexandria Police Dept) received a report of an unresponsive woman, but they did not report who made the call. I don't know if there was someone in the house with her or a neighbor came by, etc,. The police did not elaborate. Just that they just found her deceased in her home at 9:18 am after responding to the call. The article was short, and the APD only said cause & circumstances of her death will be determined by the OCME of Virginia.

Welcome aboard, and keep us posted. Anything's possible.

FWIW and part of the reason why I think this raising eyebrows:

"Jessica Aber, who was found dead at the age of 43 by Virginia authorities on Saturday, was at the helm of high-profile investigations into intelligence leaks, allegations of war crimes against Russian-linked individuals and people suspected of providing sensitive U.S. technology to Moscow before she stepped down at the start of the year."

Detail on some of her recent big cases in the article.

The original story said she was found by her daughter.
TERRIBLY SAD. I have seen her on interviews and in Congressional, I think they were, events. I was shocked when I saw her face. I so hope it was not a hit on her. They do need to be able to announce what happened, as the fear is real as it is with opponents of Russia and their dealings here.

I'm not going to presume conspiracy theories...but I will watch the outcome of Jessica's death investigation with great interest!

If she died by suicide, then my warmest hugs to her family.
If she died from a sudden health event, then my warmest hugs to her family.
If she died by 'interference by an external party' ....well then gloves are off.

I don't want to jump to number 3 until we hear more as I am thinking about Jessica's family. They matter. Everything is about them right now. I will follow their lead.

Police believe the death was the result of a longstanding medical issue, a friend of the family told NBC News.

Police said that they would investigate the circumstances as a matter of protocol but that the medical examiner's office would determine the cause and manner of death.

Two former senior Justice Department officials with knowledge of the matter told NBC News that authorities have found no reason to suspect foul play.

I sure hope this is true.

People can look and act healthy, and actually be experiencing terrible health issues. Type 1 diabetes is the first thing that comes to mind, although it could be just about anything.
