France - Black panther on the windowsill

Some residents in a French town got a surprising visit from a "peeping tom" or should I say "peeping kitty", when a young black panther managed to get out and began prowling the neighbourhood windows. The police managed to sedate the kitty, and it's now in the hands of wildlife officials, hopefully on it's way to a new, safe home. Black panther found prowling roofs in French town

Strange. The other night I dreamt about a black panther roaming loose. I told my sister about it the next day because the dream was so vivid. (No, I don't live in France )

This incident makes me so mad. This cat is extremely rare and for someone to keep it in an apartment, then leave it alone just ugggh I hope it is in a good home now where it can live like it should.

Unfortunately the poor kitty have now been stolen from the zoo where she was placed by the police, perhaps by her former owner, whom the police are looking for. Recaptured black panther stolen from French zoo

Zoo isn't the right place for it either. It should be in a sanctuary specifically for big cats. I do hope they find the owner so they can catch whoever smuggled or sold it to them.

I agree! Although I think this was a temporary home during LE’s investigation? Guessing.

I know a fabulous one if this French kitty can get through customs & immigration.
