Frank Olson

In 1953, Frank Olson, a scientist working for the CIA, died when he fell from a 13th floor window of the Hotel Statler on Seventh Avenue in what was originally ruled a suicide.

The mysteries surrounding Olson’s death involve secret CIA experiments with LSD and mind control...

I was watching Unsolved Mysteries reruns which inspired me to watch the entire Wormwood series.

Based on some of the interviews, I think its entirely possible that whole situation happened like it happened after misinterpreting a joke or comment.

Olsen was of Swedish decent, and that always made me wonder if that played a factor during this tense Cold War time.

I picture Frank making a joke or comment about Russia and/or communism when they were all under the influence of LSD at the cabin. I imagine everyone roaring with laughter, but a couple of people heard alarm bells. "They all laughed at me"

This would have put Frank was under a lot of scrutiny, and he may have been under extremely close observation and interrogations.

I remember one person saying "no one would believe it" if the truth was ever put out. Just really, really, makes me think that a joke or comment Frank said was taken WAY out of context and just spiraled super out of control from there.

My other theory is that Frank created a disease or found the cure for something extremely profound that could have changed the world forever.

Faced with the right thing to do, Frank may have refused to share the information that would create this world-changing threat and/or weapon.

This theory revolves around the many, MANY times that it was mentioned how Frank was facing an unknown dilemma that was obviously taking him to the brink.
