The boy has been identified as Armani Deshawn Lyons, according to CBS Atlanta.

The child was with his babysitter, Barbara Edwards, at the time of the shooting, according to Atlanta News First (WANF) and Fox 5 Atlanta.

Homicide investigators later established probable cause to obtain arrest warrants for Edwards, 71, and Jermaine Hardeman, 35, according to the department.

Jail records from the Fulton County Sheriff's Office show Edwards has a criminal history that dates back to 2000. Offenses include battery, robbery, possession of cocaine, shoplifting, and more.
