Adrian Gary was last seen in Lawrenceville, Ga., the Cobb County Police Department said in an alert.

“Her family’s not seen her since Sunday in Lawrenceville”

I wonder where she lives, who last saw her in Lawrenceville, and who reported her missing. Lawrenceville is in Gwinnett County, not Cobb County.

The two counties are approx 35 miles and an hour plus drive apart if taking the most often used route from Cobb county to Lawrenceville (I think most common route would be south on 75, east on 285, north on 85, and then northeast on 316. Always significant traffic. Of course travel (the route and time) between the two locations may have nothing to do with her disappearance).

''Cobb County Police say Adrian Gary was last seen
on Sunday, Nov. 17 at Grace’s Place, a commercial sexual exploitation recovery center for youth between ages 12 and 17, according to Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health.
According said the child is 5'3 inches, weighs 143 pound, has brown eyes, black hair and glasses. She also has a nose piercing and upper gum piercing.''

So young and supposed to be in a recovery center for children after they've been exploited?? Ugh. I shudder to think whoever she escaped (or was rescued) from might have found her or lured her away somehow. Obviously I don't know if that's what happened; it's just a possibility I'm mentioning. Hoping for Adrian's safe return, and may she be unharmed and able to resume her recovery.

It’s hard to know where to specifically look for Adrian as the Cobb Co. Sheriff’s Office has provided so little information about where she might have been headed (if on foot) or where she might have been taken (if picked up).

She was last seen at Grace’s Place at 650 Hi Hope Lane in Lawrenceville (which is in Gwinnett County). I’m sure GP has security cameras. Was she seen leaving?

Grace’s Place is a facility serving survivors of sex trafficking which opened within the last year. The facility is run by non-profit Devereaux Advanced Behavioral Health (whose GA location is in Kennesaw, GA which is in Cobb County), and was developed as a result of a joint effort by GA First Lady Marty Kemp, the Georgia Department of Human Services, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health and other partners in a collaboration known as “Together Georgia”

Since Cobb County is the LE agency leading the search for Adrian, Im assuming that it was Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health who reported her missing (though maybe she has family in Cobb County..).

But (if DABH was the entity who reported her missing) - just because Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is located in Kennesaw, GA (Cobb County) doesn’t mean that Adrian has any connection to Kennesaw, GA or Cobb County.

And just because Adrian was last seen at Grace’s Place in Lawrenceville, GA (Gwinnett County) doesn’t mean she has any connection to Lawrenceville or Gwinnett County.

I think it would be helpful if Cobb County LE would provide general location information about where Adrian resided prior to her being at Grace’s Place to specifically alert those local to her area to be on the lookout.

Not like... thrilled law enforcement released her name and photo and the specific place she was staying. That's on the internet forever now, and this is a child who has already been victimized. Feel like they could have given a street corner or said "in this general location" so that reporters and others couldn't just Google the address to see what the facility is. And while I'm at it, why in the world is the address of a facility for helping recovering child victims of sexual exploitation public? Where I live, places like this and DV shelters have public offices, but the actual facilities and where they are located are kept secret. Because ideally you don't want a trafficker or abuser to be able to easily locate their victims. It worries me a lot that anyone trying to make contact with her who abused her or is related to or friends with an abuser could have just googled the address and shown up and tried to convince her to leave with them.

As a start, it'd be helpful to have more information on who reported, when and under what circumstances it was noticed, how long it took to report, and what the protocol for reporting is.

I also find myself wondering anything about who her legal guardians were, how long she was in the the DABH
