Janice- 30y/o, believed killed by a serial killer who left the bodies in abandoned buildings, 5'5 and about 135 pounds. Missing in June 1991.

Janice Hughes went missing in Macon, which is also where Alfred Lundy was known to operate. Of his three known victims, one was left in a dumpster, another in a coal bin, and one in a burned out abandoned house. Two more suspected victims have never been found, although detectives believe they may also have been placed in dumpsters which were emptied prior to them being reported missing. This woman was found in Atlanta, which is an hour and a half away. It’s not impossible, but a bit of stretch.

I would suspect that this UID is someone who led a transient lifestyle in Atlanta.

This is the only likely contemporary news coverage I found. However, this would have the discovery of the body as occurring on May 21, 1996, not April 21, 1996. It otherwise perfectly matches circumstances on NamUs and Doe Network, though, so I suspect that the date may really be wrong. As reported, the house where she was found was torn down.

Bumping up for Jane Doe. She has been unidentified for quite awhile now

I'm speculating she was unhoused. I wonder if she has been reported missing anywhere, or perhaps she has very few relatives.
