Circumstances of Discovery​

Victim was shot and killed in front of the Gardens of Dunwoody Apartments in Atlanta, Georgia on April 7, 2004.

He had been carrying a back pack that looked as though it had been emptied. A bible and some loose papers were found.

I wish we had more info on Alzo Albarez #MP3359. His NamUs profile states that he is 5'1, are we sure that height is accurate? If not then I would suggest Alzo is this John Doe. It appears as per Alzo's NamUs that he also frequently wore the same hat as John Doe.

I feel the same way. Especially given that John Doe had been carrying a backpack that looked as though it had been emptied. Perhaps there was something nefarious inside? Drugs? Guns?

I also find it hard to believe that Alzo as a young man in his 20s was only 5'1. I wish we had a photo to compare. I suspect the height may be inaccurate.

As a result, I have submitted this tip to the DeKalb County Cold Case Department and to West Haven PD - Missing Persons Unit.
