ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The Albany Police Department (APD) and other agencies are searching for a man who is believed to have gone into the Flint River near the Ray Charles Plaza on Monday afternoon. He has now been identified.
The man is now identified as Cameron Jones, 23.
Police say Jones went into the water around 1:30 p.m. Crews are searing the area where a witness told police they saw him “walk into the water,” according to a statement from the Albany fire chief.
Jones’s disappearance comes exactly three weeks after Albany Public Works employee Darrious Stephens went missing.
