CATOOSA COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) — News 12 has new information on a woman’s body found in Catoosa County over the weekend.

Sheriff Gary Sisk says after doing an autopsy, investigators did not find any signs of trauma to the body, or foul play.

They still don’t know her name, or how she died.

Someone found the woman’s body lying in a ditch along Magill Lane in Ringgold on Saturday.

Investigators believe she’s between 35 and 45 years old.

According to the sheriff's office, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's crime lab performed an autopsy of the woman on Monday. Their initial findings didn't reveal any trauma or signs of foul play, and the cause of death is pending the results of a toxicology.

The woman's identity is still unknown, but the medical examiner estimated her age as between 35 and 45 years old, older than the sheriff's previous estimate of 25 to 30. She is 5'8" tall, weighs 140 pounds, and has brown hair that was bleached blonde.

According to the sheriff's office, the woman has no tattoos, and all of her teeth were removed for dentures. She was wearing blue jeans and a black tank top at the time when she was found.

Catoosa Co. Sheriff: Woman found dead on Magill Lane may have suffered overdose

Catoosa County Sheriff Gary Sisk says the woman found dead on Magill Lane in Ringgold last weekend may have suffered a fatal overdose.

Sheriff Sisk told NewsChannel that Brandi Elliott's parents said she struggled with drug addiction in the past.

Earlier this week, Sheriff Sisk said investigators found no signs of a scuffle or violence at the scene.

He says they are waiting on the results of a toxicology report.
