A temporary worker at a senior living home in Georgia punched an 82-year-old resident hard enough to kill the man — leading to criminal charges this week, police say.
[snip]
According to police, Hightower struck Millard “with a closed fist, causing said victim to fall to the ground, where the victim’s head bounced off the floor, resulting in said victim losing consciousness.”
'Head bounced off the floor': 82-year-old killed by care worker who punched him, cops say

Curtis Hightower III, 28, of Augusta, is accused of striking Harry Millard, a resident at Barclay House Senior Living, on the night of Jan. 5. The incident was initially reported as a fall, but after an internal review of video footage, facility management determined that Millard was assaulted by Hightower, causing him to fall outside of his room.

Hightower was booked at Charles B. Webster Detention Center, but current inmate records do not list him as a current detainee.

I am livid. This man was a nursing assistant, working with some of the most vulnerable in society, the elderly. RIP Mr. Millard, I am so sorry you were exposed to this awful man.
