GA - daycare boss arrested after toddler left in van for 5 hours

Melinda Hamilton, the director of Hamilton and Harris Bright Achievers Pre-K daycare in Georgia, has been arrested after a two-year-old was left in a van for five hours. Police say there may be further arrests or charges in the case.

According to an arrest warrant when the little girl was discovered by the van driver, Hamilton told the driver not to tell anyone, tried to have the surveillance video erased, and told the parents the child was only on the van for 15 minutes, not 5 hours.

Hamilton has been charged with false statements, tampering with evidence and reckless conduct.
