I can't tell from her photos if Alexis has an industrial piercing, but she does seem like a good potential match. The only thing that gives me pause is the size small tank top found with the lady in Duluth--Alexis is a curvy girl. Duluth is a straight-ish shot down 85 from Anderson, but less directly linked to where Alexis's car was found in McCormick.

The officer who called me said they think it may be her. They both have dermal cheek piercing, a bar type piercing, and a back tattoo. The man who may be a person of interest was previously arrested for bombing an ATM. Apparently he was able to get over $80K from the ATM and went up to a casino in Murphy, NC. I have to wonder what this guy's connection to Alexis would be, if any. It's really not clear to me what Abdurrahim Jalal's connection with the Duluth property is, either.

The property pictured in the news stories about the discovery of her body is Duluth Auto Service and Imports, at 4349 Abbots Bridge Rd. If you look at it on Google street view, there's a fairly typical set up for a mechanic shop, with a more public area for customer parking, then a fenced area to the rear. A tubing company occupies the right side of the property, if you're looking from the road. To the far left of the property is a driveway leading to what appears to be a house, that's behind the large trees to the rear of the back parking lot--the lot is much larger than I realized looking at the photo from the article and street view, once I went to the Gwinnett property records. There are other outbuildings/houses to the left of the driveway, behind the adjacent dry cleaners, but they're not part of this property (originally under the same ownership, but not since 1998). I wonder if she was found in this wooded area? That's really the only place she could be hidden. This wooded area also appears to be accessible from an office park on River Green Pkwy, which would probably have security cameras. The mechanic shop has at least three security cameras along the left side of the building where the garage bays are, in a customer review photo (I can only copy the cropped version for some reason, there's two more to the left of the one visible here).

It's 0.6 miles or 2 min to the Abbots Bridge unit of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation area, and ~6 miles to I-85. There's no obvious connection between Jalal and the business or its owners (who I'm not trying to name or sleuth, ftr, just trying to establish why finding her there led them to Jalal).

So was Jalal or one of his vehicles caught on camera?

748 Scott Blvd, where Jalal was apparently living, is the left half of a duplex. A neighbor, possibly the one in the right-hand unit, has been interviewed in the press. Unfortunately, the Dekalb County tax assessors site is down right now, so I'm unable to determine if Jalal actually owns the property. It appears that he's sometimes found as Jalal Abdurrahim or Jalal Abdurrahm or even Abdur Rahim Jalal.

Searching Dekalb County court records, he has a number of entries.

• He served as bond surety for someone of the same last name (DJ) in 2019 and 2021. The first was on a traffic charge, the second, battery-family violence-first offense, simple battery-family violence, criminal trespass, and disorderly conduct. Address at that time was Locust Street in Atlanta, which is in Kirkwood. This address is associated w/people of the same last name, but again, Dekalb County's property search feature is down right now.
• In August 2019 (even though the Locust Street address for the above should have encompassed this time period), he was in court for dispossession in an address on Grayson Place in Decatur, in the Decatur Crossing apartment complex. Both of these associated addresses, like the current one on Scott Boulevard in Decatur, are not cheap, high-crime locations. Grayson Place and Scott Boulevard are both extremely close to the North Decatur Mall where he's accused of bombing the ATM.
• In November 2020, he's in court as the defendant against JP Morgan, again at the Locust Street address. I'm not clear what the charges were, but they were dismissed without prejudice in April 2021.
• In January 2022, he's back as a defendant against Crown Asset Management/First Bank of Omaha. It was "returned unserved" as "def no longer lives at location." Address is listed as Locust Street again.
• October 2022, defendant against Midland Credit Management/Credit One Bank. Still listed at Locust Street, dismissed without prejudice December 2022.
• April 30, 2023, defendant against the state of GA. Possession/transport/receipt of explosives/destructive devices with intent to kill/injure/destroy building, theft by taking-felony, arson in the second degree, and manufacture/distribute/posession with intent to distribute/offer to distribute explosive device. Now the Scott Boulevard address. Bond denied 6/5/23.
• May 2, 2023, DUI and driving on roadways laned for traffic. Arraignment for this is in September.

I found an alternate address associated with one of those variations in Lilburn, which is also in Gwinnett County, but still about 16 miles from where her body was found in Duluth. If this is correct, he owned it from 2017-2022, with a woman of the same last name (SJ). Interestingly, this woman has photos of the other individual in the first bullet (DJ)--she may be his mother. Ftr, she appears to be alive and well on social media (as does DJ's baby mama). Again, this is nice house, in a nice area. It appears possibly that he was living in Washington state from 2015-2018, and before that in Arizona (Glendale, Tempe, Phoenix).

He was born Chad Sebastian Slater. Changed his name to Abdur Rahim Jalal in 1996. Sued in 2011 by JP Morgan Chase Bank. Worth noting the DUI occurred on 10/22/2021. All DeKalb co.

Cobb co. -- Divorced from SBJ 9/24/2021. She filed. I think this gives us a good window for timing for our UID (who looks quite a bit like his ex).

Owned Proudland Landscape. Has some Instagram posts in which he seems to elevate some violent activists (Assata Shakur). Has an interest in cars so maybe a connection to the car shop property?

Based on social media I think the associated names in other states are probably misspellings of other people's names, or other people with the same names. Not entirely sure.

1. Dekalb County: co-defendant with SJ and a third individual in September 2011, again w/JP Morgan, dismissed without prejudice in October.
2. Dekalb County: May 1996. Name change, from Chad Sebastian Slater to Abdur-Rahim Jalal. Final decree June 1996. Address is listed as Stone Mountain.
3. I found records in newspapers.com where he owned a property in Stone Mountain from 1999-2000.
4. Fulton County--DUI/speeding in April 2021. 95 mph in a 65 mph. Somehow, this is still not resolved, with his attorney submitting documents re: days the attorney is not available for trial as recently as April 2023.
5. Gwinnett County: July 2006, defendant against American Express Centurion Bank, eventually dismissed by the plaintiff in November 2006.
6. Gwinnett, February 2014: it's all vague and abbreviated, but some sort of civil/family relations filing, with Jalal as the plaintiff and an unfamiliar LB as the defendant. Parties (unclear who other party is) attempted mediation, but did not reach an agreement. On February 9, 2015, it was dismissed, with prejudice, with a settlement reached.
7. Gwinnett, September 2018: he is defendant, plaintiffs are AC and MC. His address is listed as the known Lilburn address with SJ. A small claims court filing. It appears this case was dismissed.
8. Cobb County: his divorce from SJ, filed September 2021, finalized November 2021.It appears his ex-wife was the plaintiff.

I had no luck in Arizona or Washington, not totally convinced he actually was there. SJ commented in a 2020 news story and was referenced as a Kirkwood resident, so possibly Jalal was living with her there at that time.

Yes I believe they caught Jalal’s SUV on camera with a stolen plate and then later saw it again on camera with a different plate and were able to ID him that way after the ATM bombing. Not sure how Alexis Ware could be connected to him. But her mom said in an interview that she seemed afraid for her life and predicted she wouldn’t see her 30th birthday. Apparently a black SUV was following Alexis. I wonder if that was the same SUV that Aburrahim Jalal drives? Is his SUV black? Her mom said the baby’s father called her (Alexis’ mom) at 7:30 but her car was also caught on camera at 7:30 and again at 8:50 leaving Beltwood Apartments and her phone must’ve got separated from her car at some point because the phone pinged in Avondale County at 8:35. Her mom said there isn’t enough time in between 8:35 and 8:50 to get to the two places. The apartment camera only captured plates as you exit, not as you enter. Her mom thinks maybe TJ (baby’s father) asked Alexis to run something to the apt for him. The car was found in McCormick with all her belongings and two phones on the seat. No prints were found except in the drivers side and they were Alexis’ prints. I wonder if the person who lives at the apt has ties with Abdurrahim Jalal or someone associated to that auto place in Duluth. Maybe she was doing a drug run and he decided to rob her?
