I cannot wrap my head around the details of this case. Is this a trip he had made in the past? Did his family truly believe he was gonna make the trek or just forget about it in a coupla days? It seems he went about 50mi in 3 days, so he was making about 16mi a day. So according to my limited math skills, if he stayed on the same pace, it would take him roughly 21 days to arrive at his son's house. Where was this poor man and his little dog gonna sleep, eat, getting out of inclement weather? I would like to think the deputies considered calling his son to come and pick him up.

He made it to Alabama!

Good news. Do we know if he was with his poodle?

What a relief! An amazing outcome considering the obstacles he faced. His guardian angels surely had their work cut out for them.
