Circumstances of Disappearance:
Rowell was last seen in Brunswick, Georgia on August 26, 2016, two days after he was paroled from prison. On the day he went missing, he was involved in a vehicular accident off of Buck Swamp Road near Fire Tower Road. Afterwards, he ran from the accident scene into the nearby woods. He has never been heard from again, and his whereabouts remain unknown.

<<Two men were arrested Monday near the scene of a 7 a.m. traffic stop. Gordon Christopher Rowell, 31, was arrested on parole violation and probation warrants after deputies caught him in a swamp adjacent to the Satilla River a few miles east of Nahunta, the Sheriff's Office said.

Rowell was also charged with criminal trespass, fleeing and attempting to elude officers, driving while his license was suspended or revoked, driving under the influence of drugs and driving too fast for conditions.>>
