Missing woman sought locally, in Atlanta
Police and family members are searching for a woman who hasn’t been seen since she called relatives from a borrowed cellphone at a gas station.
Janet D. Bell-Thompson, 25, of Social Circle, went to a court hearing at the Newton County Judicial Building on May 24, but she had the wrong date.

Bell-Thompson is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds, according to her mother. “She doesn’t look like she’s 90 pounds right now,” Bell said.
Bell-Thompson is black with hazel eyes. Her mother said the young woman was last seen wearing a long green dress that makes her eyes appear more of a green shade. She was also wearing a bonnet described as off-white or gold.
