There are comments from self-identified relatives of Joshua on the FCPD post, who are all very worried about Joshua. It is sad that this man has been missing over two months, According to NAMUS, Joshua wasn't wearing any shoes, and had on a white tank top. The FCPD has a different clothing description than NAMUS does:

"Floyd County Police Department

Usry was last seen wearing a dark color ball cap, blue Armuchee tshirt. He has a tattoo on his left forearm with graffiti type writing."

This case is so odd. Swimming w fam at MIL’s. Left shoes at pool- but went on a walk into the woods barefoot? Who walks on wooded trails with pine needles & rocks barefoot? Plus… he was swimming (without a shirt?), puts his shirt on, hits the trail, barefoot, then removes his shirt in the woods & is never seen again? OR… he swam with his shirt on & walked into the woods, dripping wet from the pool, removes the wet shirt & disappears?

Are there roads, old logging paths or anything that intersects with that trail? Why abduct a 32 y/o man with no wallet (guessing still in wet swim trunks?).

Starting to wonder what really happened here. Bear? No remains or blood trail found. If medical event, his body would have been found. No updates to police FB page. Last comment from public 1 yr ago. Something very not right here. Imo

The link relating to meth/loitering charges is no longer active, but I found a transcript of the trial where he pled guilty to the charges. To summarize, in case it doesn't work for anyone else, an officer was at a convenience store and noticed someone approaching the entrance, then retreating to the rear of the store when seen, attempting to hide in the shadows. When the officer approached him, Josh made "an obvious attempt" to hide something, which turned out to be a syringe containing meth. "The defendant admitted that he was drinking behind the building and attempting to get high." He appeared to be sentenced to probation, with a fine and court costs. There are outstanding warrants for his arrest from 2019, because he has technically violated probation for not reporting, although this was all after his disappearance.

So clearly, he's had some stuff going on leading up to his disappearance. I don't want to suggest anything about anyone who's not a name POI or suspect, but is anything known about his wife or MIL, since he was with them at the time, at the MIL's home? This is incidental, but he appears to have gone through a divorce in 2012 that involved a temporary restraining order and parenting classes (which I only include as showing there are children or a child from that union).

Probably also incidental, but the mother of one of his children (not his wife or ex-wife) has also been in trouble for meth and family violence, per Floyd County court records, including involving said son (threatening mom, son, and another son with a knife, threatening to kill the kids and herself, etc.). This woman's mother appears to have had custody of the child at that time. However, based on social media, this woman doesn't seem to have had much to do with him recently, and she shared posts about his disappearance, stating that he wouldn't have walked out on his kids like that. He, however, made numerous posts about her in the past, implying that she was restricting his access to the child, among other things.

INTERESTINGLY, the woman (or at least someone of the same/similar name) who was mentioned in the 2012 divorce proceedings as his ex-wife is the same one that his facebook page references as a current relationship. So maybe they got back together or I misunderstood the divorce being finalized. She is listed in some places as Shondra and others as Shonda, if that information is allowed. The Find Josh Usry page has her tagged in a post, too.

His mom is still posting regularly on his missing page, although there unfortunately don't seem to be any updates in his case.
