Richmond County investigators searching for missing man

Investigators say 45-year-old Kendall Brown was last seen at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church on Lumpkin Road in Augusta on Jan. 28. Have you seen him?

They say Brown may have left his house on Patriot Drive in Hephzibah on foot between January 30, 2024 and February 2, 2024.

Investigators from the Burke County Sheriff's Office volunteered and were on the scene Monday helping to search for Kendall Brown, a missing endangered person, according to the release.

"Despite the collaborative spirit commonly seen in such situations, Sheriff [Richard] Roundtree unexpectedly instructed a member of his command staff to have the Burke County Investigators leave the scene, expressing a reluctance to accept external assistance," Williams wrote in the release. "The decision to decline the support of skilled investigators raises concerns within the community."

According to above reports and his family, he went missing on 2/1 and reported on 2/2. It was reported incorrectly in the beginning.
Family has also posted there will be a vigil on 2/8.

Sadly Mr. Brown has been found deceased. There are no details at all in this article, just that his body was found.
