''On March 12, 1987, Kim Croft, who was just 19 at the time, was found dead outside of the now defunct Country Bumpkin Restaurant in Ringgold.
Croft’s uncle had been tried in her murder in 1994, but was found not guilty, and the case since then, has been closed.
No one has ever been held responsible for her death.
However, after the Coleman-Baker Act was signed by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, which provides an opportunity to reopen cold cases, the Croft sisters knew they had to act.''

By ANDREW WILKINS, Chattanooga Times Free Press February 26, 2024
"The family gathering at the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office headquarters had the hugs, tears and the whispered, comforting words of a funeral.
But instead of a recent loss, about 10 members of the Croft family came together Thursday, Feb. 22, to seek justice for Kim Croft, who was raped, beaten and strangled in Ringgold nearly four decades ago at the age of 19. They delivered paperwork asking the Sheriff’s Office to reopen her case, a request now permitted under a year-old Georgia cold case homicide law.''

'The Sheriff’s Office didn’t have any new information about the case to share, he said, and the Croft case was the first and only request the office had received under the new cold case homicide law.'

''Though in the minority as a Black person in Catoosa County, Deloney said she never felt any different growing up in Ringgold. But when her sister was killed, Deloney said she began to feel racial division in the community.

White friends of hers began to pull away, Deloney said, and high school classmates could no longer look her in the eye as they passed in the hallway. She attributed that reaction to her classmates’ guilt over what they knew about her sister’s death.''

Why was the uncle considered not guilty? Was it because he had a strong alibi or because there was not enough evidence to declare him guilty? THey must have got something since they put him on trial

It was an effort to frame him by the Catoosa County Police Department and the Davis Family to take the focus off of the guy she was dating Jamie Davis whose family owns Davis Cattle Company.. nobody asks why Jamie was sent to live in California for 3 years after the murder of Kim Croft nobody asks why the Davis Family organized the KKK rally in downtown Ringgold to disrupt a rally that was put on by the Croft family looking for justice for Kim. I seen the KKK rally with my own eyes and was completely disgusted by it and the reason that they were called in was just to intimidate anybody that wanted to come forward with information. The Davis family has a lot of influence in Ringgold she went out on a date with Jamie the night that she was murdered and he was never even questioned

And the reason her uncle was suspected is because when he was in his late teens he had a sexual relationship with a girl that was 16 and I believe her family pushed for statutory rape. So that automatically makes him guilty of raping and murdering his niece right? no it was just an excuse to push the blame on somebody else to protect the prince of Davis Cattle Company

'We spoke with local attorney Robin Flores who gave us his interpretation of the Coleman-Baker Act, saying if the family of Kim Croft believes there is a reason to open the case, the act makes it the duty of the law enforcement agency to do so.'

What bothers me is that Jamie Davis wakes up every morning and looks in the mirror and likes what he sees and I ask myself what kind of animal could do that to another human being and be okay with it. In the 1980s that little arrogant 🤬🤬🤬 thought that he was God's gift and any girl he dated should be grateful that they were asked by him to be his girlfriend. And I believe what happened is Kim told him no and he was infuriated that a girl would do that to him.. someone that's never told no is told no and he lost his 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and raped and strangled her
