Mateo is a 1yr old boy, brown hair/brown eyes, 30lbs., wearing batman shirt and diaper, was Kidnapped at gunpoint from his stroller while mom was walking/ pushing him down the street near their residence in Brookhaven/Chamblee Ga. Kidnapper drove southwest on Clearview Dr. toward I-85 in a 2003 maroon acura mdx GA TAG RTJ0253. Kidnapper Hispanic male, 5'5 28-32 yrs old with brown/brown, wearing plaid shorts & red or pink hat.
Mom fought the kidnapper, swiped his shoe and tore his pants. The initial amber alert sent the wrong details on the vehicle to my phone. These are the corrected vehicle details. Help spread the word!! Look for this vehicle. If you see Mateo or this vehicle,or kidnapper call 911 immediately, or call the FBI at 404-293-5169

At gunpoint? That's alarming. Thank God he was found so quickly!

Geeeeez Loueeezz! I hope they don't ever let these monsters out.

The boy’s mother told police she was walking him in his stroller near their apartment when a man got out of an Acura SUV and pointed a gun at her.

...mother was able to grab the gun from the man and tried to shoot him, but the gun didn’t go off. She ripped his pants and took one of his shoes.

A second suspect then got out of the SUV’s passenger seat and grabbed the child.

I have visions of his mom being thrown down, latching on to this man's leg, and refusing to release him, actually ripped off a portion of the leg of his shorts and his shoe came off too as he kept pulling away. Idk that is what happend but I can imagine that's about right. A relief!! So glad they found the baby.

So it was a man and a woman who have the same last name (siblings or spouses?) What an odd story.

I completely missed this part- when LE found them, the kidnappers had dressed the child in girl clothing. I just read the story again. Family says- They've never met these people and do not know them, period.

Hopefully, the Fbi will go through every inch of their electronic devices and lives- get these people & any group they're involved with off the street.
You don't go around kidnapping children- there is no excuse. The justice system needs to make an example of them. Let others know you don't get a slap on the wrist when you steal/kidnap a child.

My first thought was that it a custody dispute.

This seems less awful than a random stranger kidnapping, but not by much.

I dont know the real story or if this is a woman/couple that wanted a baby or if they were selling the baby. I truly hope they investigate much deeper than -" we caught em"
