Tuesday at 8:24 a.m., an officer on patrol for the Warner Robins Police Department located an abandoned vehicle behind a self-storage facility off of Russell Parkway.
After the vehicle was examined, police concluded that it appeared suspicious, and no attempts to contact the owner of the vehicle were successful.
The vehicle's owner, 23-year-old Michaela Chaney, was nowhere to be found.
Officers met at the apartment of the victim with Tomeka Chaney, Michaela's mother, at 9:20 a.m.
Tomeka Chaney was unable was unable to reach her daughter, and after entering Michaela Chaney's apartment, indications of a struggle were found.
Jayveon Bivins, the boyfriend of the victim, has been cooperating with police as the investigation continues.
