Ruth DeHart, co-owner of the "Army Barn" surplus store in Lebanon, Georgia was brutally murdered on March 5th, 1986. Police stated that she was stabbed upwards of 23 times and had her throat slashed. Composite sketch was released of a young male with a scar on his right jaw but no arrests have been made in this case. There is information about a possible suspect that was questioned in the late 80's but know lives outside the country. Cherokee County Sheriff's Department Criminal Investigation Division is actively reviewing this case once again after 32 years. The GBI refused to provide any records or further information about the leads and suspects of this case. If anyone knows anything about this case, please contact me or go to the police. Let's get this case solved and provide the family some closure.
