Police searching for nonverbal autistic Atlanta man

ATLANTA - Atlanta police are searching for a missing 27-year-old man, and they say it's critical that they find him.

Sharon Hairston was reported missing from a home in the 1800 block of Myrtle Drive SW Saturday night around 8 p.m.

Hairston is autistic and is unable to communicate verbally, officials said.

Police described Hairston as being 6-feet tall with a slim build and a light complexion. He was last seen wearing no shirt and short black shorts.

Sharod Hairston was located around midnight. Hairston has autism and is unable to communicate verbally.

Atlanta Police said he was reported missing after he wandered away from his home Saturday.
