A Mattie’s Call was issued Tuesday for a woman authorities said has intellectual disabilities and has been diagnosed with mental illnesses.

The Clayton County Police Department said Sheila Montes was last seen on Monday leaving her residence at about 10 a.m. on the 6900 Block of Highway 42 in Rex.

She was described as a 38-year-old Hispanic woman who is 5-foot-2-inches tall and weighs 210 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.

Police said she’s been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia and has intellectual disabilities. They said she does not have her medication with her.

People with information are asked to call the Clayton County Police Department or 911.

So apparently she was found after going missing in July 2019 because she has been reported missing again on May 27, 2020.
A Mattie’s Call was issued again.

DETAILS: On 05/27/2020 at 2030 hours, Clayton County Police officers responded to a missing persons call at 6983 Diamond Dr. Officers learned Sheila Montes (DOB: 06/16/1981) walked away from the location at 1930 hours.

Ms. Montes has walked away from the location on foot on a previous occasion and was later located in New Jersey.
Ms. Montes has been diagnosed with mental retardation as well as schizophrenia.
Ms. Montes is a thirty-eight-year old black female with brown hair and brown eyes. Ms. Montes is 5’5” in height and weighs 190 pounds. Ms. Montes was last seen wearing a white t- shirt, black pants, and purple Adidas running shoes.

Mattie's Call issued for 39-year-old Rex woman

Ms. Montes was located after going missing the 2nd time in May 2020.

Police in Clayton County are searching for a missing 39-year-old woman. A Mattie's Call, Georgia's emergency missing alert for disabled or elderly persons, has since been issued.

Sheila Montes left her family home located on Diamond Drive in Rex on Monday afternoon (April 26, 2021) while her mother was at the grocery store, the Clayton County Police Department said.

Montes is described by police as being 5-feet-4-inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, with brown hair in a ponytail, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black Capri pants.
