Lock her up! She's clearly guilty of what she's being accused of.

Call the police and let them handle it. SMH

Yes. MOO. I think that is why I can't stand him. He asked the same questions multiple times getting the same answers. I'm not sure he is very practiced in interviewing or cross...
Prosecutor should be objecting...

I just can't understand why she decided to take things into her own hands and act so aggressively towards this victim? Why not let the police handle it? At 21 yrs of age I would have never considered something like this!

Makes no sense to me unless perhaps someone she was close to was killed or injured by a drunk driver - which does not absolve her in the least, but at least would help me understand her extreme over reaction to the situation.
I would guess no experience with anything like what might be the event here, and ignorant about potential medical issues (as well as a thousand other things), but highly self-involved and entitled. When you have people unable to imagine something might be going on outside of your personal knowledge, you have a very dangerous situation IMO.

I can’t watch the trial and am mostly following here and a couple of news reports I‘ve seen. I cannot get past the fact that she had no legal justification to follow the driver and no legal justification to approach his vehicle gun in hand. On the other hand, he had every right to be in fear for his life and had she been the one that was killed if the gun went off in a struggle then it would truly have been self defense. I don’t think there is any way for it to be self defense for her because she created the situation and she brought the gun and she took the gun out and apparently put it inside his truck though that part is still not clear to me how it happened.

My impression is that she has a narcissistic personality and that she wanted attention to be seen and praised as a hero in apprehending this man herself, in front of witnesses no less.
Yes. Has an Ahmad Arbery vibe sadly.

That photo says it all.

If she was worried about getting attacked, she a) needn't have approached, and b) could have taken just one step backwards and been out of attack zone. There's no way Herring could do anything to her with the door closed like that.

As for brandishing that gun....look how wild she is with it.
The gun in her hand tells me all I need to know. moo

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. (Court TV) — The trial is underway for a Georgia woman accused of fatally shooting a man during a traffic dispute.

Hannah Payne, 25, faces a possible life sentence for shooting Kenneth Herring in the abdomen when she was 21.

According to investigators, at around 6 pm on May 7, 2019, the victim, 62-year-old Herring, was driving his Dodge pickup truck when he ran a red light and hit an 18-wheeler. Both vehicles were damaged, and the drivers pulled over to wait for police to arrive.

I've been watching the trial.
She made too many bad choices. There is no way this is self defense and there is no way that man wrestled the gun from her and shot himself in the abdomen. IMO

Good point. Defense would have to demonstrate he had opportunity to grab the gun.

On the other hand, she might have tried to shoot him in the head, and he deflected it, and unfortunately it went off in his stomach.

And the ME testimony on distance, makes it impossible for him to hold the gun at the requisite distance and angle to make the wound happen?

I think that some people very desperately want to be Charles Bronson. The vigilante hero. The good guy [or gal] with a gun.

You see people like that comment in articles about crime all the time, saying that you can't trust the cops to be available so it's important to always carry your firearm and be ready to use it. I wouldn't be surprised if we learn that she had made statements like that in the past.

My biggest problem with this girl is the complete lack of justification!! This wasn't a deadly hit-and-run until she got involved. Get the license plate number and then let the police handle it from there.

I can't imagine what they'll put up for a defense. This all seems very indefensible.

She might need to testify to have the slimmest chance of a juror understanding her justification. If I was a juror, all I would hear is her being told over and over again on the 911 call not to chase the guy. JMO.

She drew the gun; I believe she is guilty.

She is going to testify.
Yes, just saw she respond "Yes" when judge asked the question. She began to weep when answering. I guess she needs the jury to hear her side of this case.
