The residence where Whitney was last seen was that of a former boyfriend, who said she stayed about thirty minutes and then left without saying goodbye. She departed in a lavender Geo Prizm rental, as her car had been damaged in an accident three days prior to her disappearance, an accident in which she had hit her head. Per her father, she had sounded disoriented after that. As of 5/6/98, this car had not been recovered. However, it's not mentioned at all in her NamUs. If the car has never been recovered, and she were disoriented/not herself, I lean toward thinking some sort of accident. The color of the car would very much blend into a body of water, and there are several creeks and ponds in the area. I've not been able to find where she was living at the time of her disappearance to better pinpoint her route. If the car is genuinely still missing, Adventures with Purpose might be a good avenue. If it's not, I'd be very interested in knowing where it turned up.

She was employed by Harry Normal real estate company in Buckhead (bougie Atlanta area, west of Lithonia) at the time of her death.

The contemporary articles list her date of last contact as April 22, not April 23.

Whitney was an aspiring actress. I believe this may be her in a 1997 production of Hamlet in Atlanta.
