MISSING: 12-year-old boy does not return home Friday night

Willie Myrick,12, had not returned to his home on Confederate Court.
His mother said that Willie left his home at 10 p.m. Friday.

What? A 12 year old boy left home at 10pm on a Friday night? Where was he going? Was he walking, on a bike??? This scares me so much. Praying he is found safe!

It seems that Willie reported that an unidentified black man abducted him from his yard in 2014. The man drove him around until he finally let him go because Willie sang a gospel song. Willie became a minor celebrity over it. There are quite a few articles about it. The abductor was never found, as far as I can tell.

What a big heart for a little boy. I'd love to give him a hug! I hope he gets home safely soon. I also hope some kind soul takes him under his/her wings to channel his good intentions with his church work.

Willie Myrick, 12, was reported missing by his mother after leaving the family's home on Confederate Court in SE Atlanta around 10 p.m. According to Atlanta Police Sergeant Warren Pickard, the child was on an overnight field trip without his parent's knowledge.

He was found unharmed Saturday morning around 10:30 a.m.
