I am deeply saddened by his passing. His beautiful stories have given me so much joy,I will never forget when I finished Love In The Time of Cholera,I was sitting in a park on a nice day because I wanted to savor the ending and the tears just flowed but they were tears of happiness. Goodbye Gabo your stories will always be in my heart!

Oh no! So sad. I've read "100 Years of Solitude" 3 times. He was brilliant, weaving reality with fantasy. One could get lost in his stories, wishing for such adventure in one's own life. I thank God for giving us such a talent. Adios amigo, Vaya Con Dios.
