The morning of April 15, 1998, she was dropped off for work at “Taco’s Puebla” restaurant on North La Cadena Drive in Colton before it opened for business, the release said.

The owner arrived a short time later and found the doors unlocked, lights and oven on, and no one inside, and Escobar was never seen again, according to police.
