Circumstances of Disappearance:
Braun disappeared from München, Germany on October 10, 1972. She had been in the company of an unidentified male she had met at a café that morning who drove a light blue Volkswagen Beetle. Around 5:30 pm, Braun telephoned a friend from home, informing her about the man she had met and that they were planning to attend a lecture that evening after her usual bowling round.

Later that evening, Braun left her bowling round under a pretext shortly before midnight and was last seen getting into a light blue Volkswagen Beetle in front of a pub on Säulingstrasse. She has never been seen or heard from again and her whereabouts remain unknown.
